Prim Hall TP 2000 Off-Line Tipper

The Prim Hall “Off-Line Tipper”, TP 2000, provides the capability to attach all types of components (tip-ons) to the top or bottom of another signature (primary carrier) using glue. The process is fully automated, and utilizes several modular components that are electronically integrated allowing it to operate at speeds up to 15,000 cycles per hour. The tip-ons can be positioned in an infinite number of locations along both the head-to-foot and the front-to-back dimensions of the carrier signature and be smaller than the primary carrier. Provisions to run unusual products are a primary consideration and several feed options are currently available. Alternative feeding devices can be provided by quote for very unusual products.

A key benefit of the TP 2000 Tipper is that electronic technology is used to monitor the quality of the product as it is being produced. If there is a miss-feed, the System inhibits downstream feeders and faulty product is diverted from the good product stream. Products which are cold glued will also be diverted.

Controls include, ripple start and stop as well as the ability to stop the machine after consecutive faults. The Prim Hall Patented Control System will monitor speed as it slows down from consecutive faults. If the faulting feeder starts feeding good products again before the machine comes to a stop, the System automatically accelerates back to normal operating speed. The Control System also provides information on misses and doubles for each feeder, total good product and diverted product counts.

Each Off-Line Tipper consists of five (5) modules; Base Frame, Feed Hoppers, Conveyor and Guide System, Adhesive Applicator and the Control System.
